IP waterproof laboratory
The IP rating test is mainly used to assess the reliability of the enclosure protection of various electrical product enclosures and seals under various harsh environmental conditions such as dust, humidity, water or diving, to verify whether the working performance of products and components will be affected. At the same time, it also provides corresponding protection requirements for the human body to prevent contact with dangerous parts.
Meide is equipped with complete IP waterproof test equipment and a team of experienced certified testing engineers in the industry, which can provide IP waterproof rating tests for the majority of lighting manufacturers.
IP code: indicates the degree of protection of the enclosure. The protection level is divided into many categories. According to different numbers, the protection level of the product can be quickly and conveniently determined.
First digit
0 No protection
1 Prevents solid particles with a diameter of 50mm or larger The tip of the object or solid particles with a diameter of 50mm cannot be completely penetrated
2 Prevent solid particles with a diameter of 12.5mm or larger. The tip of the object or solid particles with a diameter of 12.5mm cannot be completely penetrated.
3 Prevents solid particles with a diameter of 2.5mm or larger The tip of the object or the solid particles with a diameter of 2.5mm cannot penetrate at all
4 Prevents solid particles with a diameter of 1mm or larger The tip of the object or solid particles with a diameter of 1mm cannot penetrate at all
5 Dust protection: It cannot completely prevent dust from entering, but it will not hinder the normal operation of the instrument and reduce the safety.
6 Dust imprisonment: dust cannot enter the object, the entire diameter cannot exceed the gap of the shell
Second digit
0 No protection
1 Anti-vertical falling water droplets Vertical falling water droplets will not cause harmful effects
2 When the shell is tilted up to 15°, the vertical falling water droplets are prevented. When the shell is tilted up to no more than 15° at any angle on either side of the vertical, the vertically falling water droplets will not cause harmful effects
3 Waterproof mist sprayed at any angle not exceeding 60° on any vertical side will not cause harmful effects
4 Splash-proof water splashing on the shell from any direction will not cause harmful effects
5 Anti-spraying water spraying water from any direction on the shell will not cause harmful effects
6 Prevent strong water jets. Strong water jets on the shell from any direction will not cause harmful effects
7 Prevent short-term immersion under normal temperature and pressure, when the shell is temporarily immersed in 1M deep water, it will not cause harmful effects
8 Prevent continuous immersion. Both manufacturers and users agree, but under conditions that are more severe than 7, continuous immersion in water will not cause harmful effects
