■CNAS Introduction

China National Accreditation Committee for Laboratories (CNAL) is a national accreditation agency approved and authorized by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration to be responsible for the accreditation and related work of laboratories and inspection agencies. Established in July 2002, it is a laboratory in the field of import and export established by the National Laboratory Accreditation Organization of the former State Technical Supervision Bureau-China National Accreditation Committee for Laboratory (English abbreviation: CNACL) and the former State Import and Export Commodity Inspection Bureau Established on the basis of the National Laboratory Accreditation Organization of China National Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laboratory Accreditation Committee (English abbreviation: CCIBLAC), a national laboratory accreditation organization accredited by the inspection agency.

■Purpose

The purpose of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment is to promote the construction of conformity assessment agencies in accordance with relevant standards and norms, and to promote conformity assessment agencies to effectively provide services to the society with fair behavior, scientific methods and accurate results.

■International Mutual Recognition

China's national accreditation system for conformity assessment has an important position in international accreditation activities, and its accreditation activities have been integrated into the international recognition mutual recognition system and are playing an important role. China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment is an official member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC). At present, IAF mutual recognition members, including CNAS, come from 60 accreditation agencies in 55 economies, and ILAC mutual recognition members come from 89 accreditation agencies in 74 economies.
